Lol yeah they did about 300 hours on the engine dyno including a 50hour endurance test where by the engine was run wot for 45sec in every minute, through the revs in controlled conditons. Thats two days solid. Then the engine was stipped down and evaluated for wear.

They also did around 10k road and track miles I was told.

They tested at some tracks in the uk but also took the car to spain and tested it in a baking heat of summer over there.

I believe one of the dev cars is/was Matts daily driver as well so they tested it in a variety of conditions.

I also heard they ran a nurburgring simulation on the dyno for 1000miles but that wasnt from Matt so not sure if there is any truth in that but Porsche use Nurburgring simulations for engine dev so not unbelievable.
