I'm running injen CAI right now with a cat back no issues from that because i keep factory header, planning to go with Works turbocharger soon than I'll get their ecu tuning. The issue is you have an aftermarket/performance header which increase air flow in your engine, it's more air than the ECU can know what to do with so it tries to compensate by throwing in more gas. So you idle roughly and power isn't constant on the throttle.
Factory header =Factory tune so it does what is intended to do, but aftermarket header+ factory tune= more than ecu can handle in factory spec. Like getting alignment after you swap for aftermarket coilovers, new item needs new setting to make it run normal or better
