If you know someone who can sew (a dieing art I know) get some silnylon off of eBay. Have it cut and sewn into a 8 x 10 foot sheet and you can create any of a number of tents or leanto's.... Bring along about 50ft of paracord for tie offs and guy lines. Add a small camp hatched for making your own stakes and too hammer them in and you are good to go!
Cheap, light and small package! A 9 x 12 sheet wil fit in a 1 gallon ziploc bag with room for your paracord ..
