Yep, the BRZ (my 4th RWD car) is my first vehicle with traction control, and I've driven everything I've owned in snow (including two motorcycles). Hell, I drove my '99 MX5 through the last three winters and it didn't even have ABS. Never had a problem.
Once I've broken in the BRZ and become familiar with it, I'll turn VSC off here and there, but I'll leave it on most of the time. Again, for anyone who doesn't yet know the car thoroughly or have a lot of RWD experience:
