How long have you been driving a stick? Sounds like you are fairly new to it. Let out slow under 1000 you may very well stall under a light, I wouldn't suggest that. These aren't lazy cars, they expect to be gone in first and gone more in second. You're casual driving can happen in 5th def. in 6th. You should be throttling down when you are letting out in first. As far as the shift light its just there to say hey you its time to shift! You're shift light fixed none of your problems, perhaps you were having a good day. It def. didn't fix your stirring problem
Sounds like you are new on the clutch and need practice. How is your traffic driving?
