The "forever" in that range for me is somewhere around one second, maybe two if I wasn't trying very hard. This has never once impacted my ability to do anything I wanted while daily driving on the streets. On the street no, the torque dip doesn't limit you in any way. The power you have under it is still enough for DD. My 93hp del sol did just fine. But if you are hammering on it, it(torque dip) is pretty annoying
