I have absolutely no idea.... Doesn't NASCAR start with rolling starts in similar setups?

For a start though, there isn't enough room for every car to be lined up side by side (there are 30+ cars in this race). I believe they use things like qualification times, etc. to determine who is placed where on the grid. The Best Motoring guys use the power levels of the cars to determine where to put them, but in this case, I imagine everyone has the same power.
