I'm an engineer by trade, so I never read manuals. I'll happily take things apart to find out how they work, but I won't crack a pedestrian manual.

I'm also a collector at heart. So my hardcopy of the "GT86 owners manual" is carefully preserved in unopened mint condition.

Manuals are getting thinner. Anyone else noticed that? I just installed a new headunit in my truck, and the manual is a folded piece of paper. I haven't read it, of course; but one paragraph caught my eye as I disdainfully discarded it. It said
"Play USB. Please be careful not to crash. Cause the machine to prevent damage. To protect traffic safety, please do not concentrate on driving the process of regulating the product."
Which is nice and friendly of course, but it also confirms that manuals are written by clowns and are therefore utterly useless.
