5 second hold will let you spin out just fine... trust me, I have a nice cone-shaped dent from a spin at an AutoX!
That said, with or without pedal dance, you're still going to get EBD and ABS may cause you some troubles if you're really pushing things. I still suggest you experiment with pedal dance - it does seem to be easier to trigger ice mode, which definitely won't make drifting easy. Not everyone seems to run into this as consistently, and other things are oh so much better. The 86Nanny with ABS disable was first made to solve issues for drifters - if you're going to do this enough it may be a worthwhile investment.
