My first question is: by not doing the pedal dance, would I still be able to drift the car for several turns without issues while being on full throttle (traction control slight cut on power while drifting).

It's going to be actively changing brake bias and kicking in still even with everything on, this is denoted by the slip light in the tachometer, just do the pedal dance it makes everything easier. I noticed playing around in rainy parking lots and snow is that the car becomes way easier to control and doesn't spin out as much as before.


My second question is: does the pedal dance affect the warranty in any way?

It's a diagnostic mode it's not recorded anywhere in the ecu, in fact nothing really is stored in the ecu for dealer techs using tech stream to really void your warranty with except ecu codes and basic canbus communication info. I know this because I used techstreams full version on this car for quite some time

I understand that in an instance where the car would have an engine failure on track, the dealership could check the ECU entry and see that the pedal dance sequence enabled all traction control to be off
I'm asking this question because I would like to drift the car while still being able to have a backup for common issues like chirping noises, buggy idle and transmission issues.


Assume the dealership can just lookup your vin on the internet and find you on a race roster and void the car and in that scenario you have to pay. Do you have enough money to pay for a repair out of pocket? If yes go ahead and track it. If Not, don't because you pay to play
