Some people here know I'm a musician. I don't make a big deal about it because I haven't been active in years.
For anyone into loud music, musician's earplugs are covered by most insurance companies. For about a hundred bucks-ish, an audiologist will create a custom molded pair of earplugs with interchangeable attenuators. The ability to hear the full range of frequencies at a safe level while still feeling the chest-thumping energy of a good show is just brilliant. Tell your doctor that you're a musician and get hooked up.
Save your ears. Whenever they ring, that's damage. It accumulates over time.
