If you use ac in cold weather, it builds up mold. Even worse if weather fluctuates. I clean interior of vents with long cotton qtip with rubbing alcohol. Aka the alcohol you use to wipe CPU paste. Smell is gone on my old pickup. FRS picks up smells here and there so I park in garage, spray interior with disinfectant spray they use in hospitals some times, let it dry and air out, then overdo it with febreze. This includes spraying disinfectant into vents. I don't spray febreze into it.

You can try that. Also, new cars tend to smell oddly.
