I grew up driving RWD cars, 1950 Ford, 1958 Ford, Multiple VW's with rear engine. I used to go driving on dirt roads and intentionally put the cars into a drift to see how they would respond and learned from that. I will say that driving the old rear engined VW's in the rain was definitely a learning, and scary, experience. I'm leaving my traction controls on.
