In my experience thats about the end of it. If you drive them on the street in a not spirited manner they sound like a freight train. Even after a full track day. By the time I street drive them home, mostly highway miles, 300 miles, they have that freight train sound.
Anyway, I swap at track now and carbotech 1521 are silent on street.

Heat em up, intentionally, until they just barely start smelling (fading). Then keep rolling for about 10-15 minutes without stopping.
Now they should be silent, permanently. You can maintain this on the street by braking slightly harder than you normally would.
