Interesting I can't seem to find a video from modern day showing a similar step in manufacturing. Makes me question if this is even done anymore.
Feels like how you go buy a chronometer watch these days and it doesn't even come with a detailed timing certificate unless you write a request to the factory for one, and some would even refuse your request (Rolex, Grand Seiko, etc) but I digress.
