There seem to be two crowds that just do not understand.
First there are the young guys where the MT is exotic and strange and they get a feeling of superiority from driving it. Since they make the car do every single thing they think they are in more control.
Second is the old guys that have a bias against ATs based on the old slushboxes that they used to be. Their bias is correct if based only upon ATs prior to computer chip controlled systems since those things were indeed crap. I bet many of them have never driven a performance based modern transmission and just do not understand the improvements that have been made. Even now all ATs are not created equal and saying "I drove this SUV/sedan/truck and the AT was horrible" can not be applied the AT in the Twins.

I know I will never be able to convince people over the internet but that more control thing is the one that always manages to get me riled up.
