Yes. I sit fairly close to the wheel. I'm 5'10. If my seat isn't properly adjust it doesn't fit well.

If you won't be having a passenger you can fudge it and put your seat more back but the wheel you stack on the passenger side will intrude on the passenger seat so you can't really have anyone sit in it.

For me I have to adjust it just right to fit me and my passenger "comfortably". There is more room to mess about with stock wheels/tires size.
