Holy crap, I really get it now.

I'm sitting here waiting to pull the trigger on a 2017 BRZ, getting my vicarious thrills off the forum and endless youtube vids. I intend to pay down in June, and would have an October delivery. But I've never driven one.

Today I saw a 2013 86 on a dealer's lot, and stopped & got a test drive.

After reading all those posts and hearing all those reviews I know about the notorious lack of power/torque off the line, and the torque dips. All I can say is that in my 15 minute drive none of that felt significant.

The directness and connectedness of driving this car is amazing. It's like you think it, and the car does it.

My DD is a 2.0 Passat and when I got back behind the wheel it was like I was feeling the steering and suspension through a thick layer of marshmallows.

I now have zero reservations and can't wait until I take delivery.
