My apologies for taking a while. I've been busy with work so I can continue to pay my garbage bill to have reliable transportation.

This is not a family sedan and the depreciation can not be compared to them.
If you can't afford to by a 911 now you can't afford to drive one after you save up your pennies.
Apparently you should have bought a Corolla in the first place since you think it can out run an FRS, is easy to drive in traffic and holds it's value better.

I'll answer simply since longer answers don't really help.
You didn't look at the mileage on the cars that were $19k?
Brand. Resell value of a brand.
If you can't afford a house now, you can't afford to live in it after you save to get it? Does that make sense?
And yes, I really should have. Hindsight 20/20 though.

We're okay with mediocrity? ...I don't see this car as being mediocre. Of course, that's just my opinion, and that's all it is. You act as if we should all see how mediocre the twins are and that we should feel awful for driving it.
Sorry, nope. I enjoy my car and already have an attachment to it. Guess that's a bad thing, huh?
You clearly do not have an attachment to your car and you have made it clear several times that you extremely dislike, if not outright hate your car, so what exactly is stopping you from trading in your FR-S for a Corolla as Tcoat suggested, and saving even more money towards that dream 911 of yours? For all the complaining you do, you don't really take much action.

I can't help your hurt feelings or that you take my declarations as fact. If someone told you the volume of the TV was too loud and you thought it was just fine, would you say they were stating a fact or an opinion based on their perception? Also, would you get offended?
I still see the car as mediocre; ho hum. If I stated that you should also, then that is wrong on me. I don't recall doing that, but who knows.
Negative equity is what primarily stops the trade in. As far as taking action, here's a quoted post of mine from March:

I've been looking at brakes in between bouts of Autotrader and the classifieds on NASIOC and E46 Fanatics. The brake thread on this site has been wonderful in helping me make an informed decision, as well as the Essex Learning Center: http://www.essexparts.com/support/learning-center--faq

I've been actively looking for something to trade this car for since about 3 months of driving it. Again, hindsight 20/20
