I think the centrifugal charger is the best option for the space constraints. Easy, compact, self-contained, no extra oil/water lines. Less heat to deal with.

But I also think a larger turbo BRZ would be nice. I have a 6262 bb on my SR20VE in my sentra. It's amazing, 10psi made 365whp. 19psi made 517whp. I have no custom tune either. Rom tune from jim wolf technology.

The response is terrible under 4k rpm. But when the big cam lobes kick in (ala vtec) it hits boost instantly. Once the turbo is spooled, the response is near instant.
