I completely know what you're saying, my BP10 pads rubbed against the rotors when I first put them in. Just do the bedding process which should wear the pad material down a little and give some breathing room. Mine were fine after I bedded them.
I had some high performance driving events this weekend (autocross and track) and the bp10s stood up perfectly to everything I threw at them from 80 second autocross runs to 30 minute track sessions. That said, ambient temperatures were 9c/48f yesterday so it was quite cool which may play a part. Running EBC Yellowstuff in the OEM rear seemed to be well matched with the BP10s in the front but I only did the 5 second push to turn TC off. I did not do pedal dance so EBD may be playing a part here. I'll be trying pedal dance next time I go to the track.
Even if ultimate bite isn't there, the name of the game with this setup is control and consistency. The OEM brakes completely lack in comparison, these are SO easy to modulate.
I'll see how they hold up. I've heard people complain the BP series pads tend to wear quickly. I haven't checked the pads yet but I will in a few days when I finish up some outstanding work on my car.
