I think the cars are for different enough crowds and an STI version would be even lower volume than the WRX STI version. It would likely be between 32-35K so that prices it out of reach for a lot of folks. Subaru makes three levels of Impreza, I don't think you'll see that with the BRZ probably only two.

Subaru isn't going to make a bolt on turbo upgrade. They have never done that and there is just too much to change out.

The compression ratio is the big issue IMHO. The car already requires premium gas NA, I think a piston swap will be mandatory to be safe unless you are willing to run E85 all the time, which you could do, or some kind if race gas.
