Yes, if you want to utilize wheel locks then you'll want 16 lug nuts and 4 wheel locks - some companies sell these as a kit, so you get everything you need. You'll typically have a key specific to to lug nuts for installation and removal, and another unique key for the locks - so that's two keys that you'll want to keep in your glove compartment.

My McGard Spline Drive lug nuts came as a kit with the locks included, so again they get my recommendation as I've been extremely happy with them.

The thread size you'll need is m12 x 1.25 - I would also hold onto at least five of your OEM lug nuts and keep those in the car at all times as well (in the event that you need to utilize the spare tire.)
