Until then I don't believe them, because as far as I'm concerned this is the hose they are using: http://www.russellperformance.com/mc...oclassic.shtml

Maybe they don't buy it direct from Russel...but I'm sure it's the same hose from China.

This guy says it best:
You must have a lot of time on your hands to keep questioning our product. The only reason I can come up with as to why you're still on this thread:
  • You really want to buy our flex fuel kit but want confirmation that we are using a SS braided reinforced hose as advertised -- unlikely
  • You're bore and just want to troll -- possibly
  • You already own a flex fuel kit from another vendor and just want to discredit everyone else's kit to justify your purchase -- highly probable
  • You're friends with or is the other competitor or planning to release your own product and discrediting a competitors product could eventually boost your sales -- makes me wonder about this one.
Anyhow, regardless of your intentions, we'll assume that you're genuinely looking out for the best interest of the 86 community and want make sure they are getting a quality product from a company that's been around since 1998.

So below is your proof, the first picture is the russel proclassic hose that you can't stop talking about--it has a dark blue tracer with no SS braided reinforcement. Below that is the fuel hose we use in our kit and as you can see it has a more silver like tracer on the woven exterior with SS braided reinforced liner.

Also you keep talking about made in China--I hate to disappoint you but your 86 uses a lot of Chinese made parts, whether you care to believe it or not. Most of the fasteners made these days are made in China along with a lot of the electronics components. When you buy a turbo manifold used in a lot of the made-in-the-USA turbo kits for the FRS, the SS piping they used to weld up the manifolds are all made in China. The raw steel or SS plates used to machine the flanges are made at foundries in China. Even if you were to buy raw material from foundry in the USA, those foundries are probably all Chinese-own.

Your cell phone, regardless of brand is made in China, if it was made entirely in the US, you would not be able to afford owning one. I have nothing against products made in China, as long the product is not a knock-off of someone else's design, that's mass produced to look like the original without the quality control, material specification, tolerances & fitment, and R&D of the original design.

We take pride in saying our product is "made in the USA" but we can only based this statement on the fact that we fabricate, assemble, machine, and buy our components and material from a US-based company. We have no control or know if our US vendors are purchasing their material or components manufactured overseas.
