Manuals in high end cars (Porsche/Ferrari/McLaren/Lambo) are coming to an end. You may see a couple of variants (GT4), but for the most part ... manuals are dead ... at the high end.
The take rate on manuals is ridiculously low. Also why would you want to put an antiquated manual transmission in a high tech car? I cannot imagine a 458, 488GTB, GT3 with a manual. If there was interest ... the car cos would produce them.
As for smaller cars (86). Its only a matter of time before they are mostly DCT. A DCT works better with close range high rpm motors.
Forum enthusiasts may like manuals, but you guys make up a very small % of the buying public.
