If you owned a manual don't worry about it, you chose an auto this time, however if you have never owned or driven one, perhaps, save your hostility towards us till you do. You may like it or you may just hate it. I know at the end of the day, I'd much prefer this car with a manual being its only 200hp
Guy said hes slow at lights, and I don't have that problem, as I'm sure many manual drivers don't. Manuals usually aren't slow off the line unless you want them to be. He may be starting in second, i dunno
But my cure for the manual auto traffic disease, we have two cars. When I've had enough manual in traffic, I switch with the wife and drive the auto Kia Soul. And she loves driving the manual and she can drive the shit out of it

I learned to drive on a tractor, and a three-in-the-tree Edsel. This is my first AT car, my previous seven have all been MT's. It would never occur to me to blame "only 200hp" for my failings as a driver. The cars limitations are even more fun than its strengths, and the transmission (AT or MT) has nothing to do with it either way. Your ability to shift gears means squat, except for those whose only ability is to shift gears.
This whole thread is about appropriate gear choice, and it seems (from this thread) that only AT drivers are aware enough of whats ahead of them to know how to do that, and again, my humble AT can drop two gears as fast as an MT driver can.
Odd how the only people who complain about the powertrain of this car are MT drivers.
