Downshift only (and a downshift over-rev nanny) but at that point you are in single-digit speeds anyway so who cares. Maybe there
are people who drive around in sixth all the time and enjoy the shakes. Anyway, the point still stands. Willing to bet an AT can shed two gears as fast (or faster) than an MT.
Sad that so many FR-S drivers self-worth and awesomeness is wrapped up in what sort of trans they have. This is the first AT I've ever had and its a blast, and I don't give a second thought about how great the other guy is because he has an MT. I just enjoy the look of frustration on his face in the mirror.
Edit: I'm going to convert mine to a three-in-the-tree and lord my awesomeness over all.
