My guess is that it's a dealer installed 'option' - in all likelihood from an independent vendor that serves the local dealers in the area. He's probably using an off-the-shelf kit that provides the Subaru logo and has similar kits for other marques. If you bought the car new from a dealer, the new car sales manager will be happy to tell you who they use.
