Exact same thing for me. I posted a few days ago saying I had crickets for the first time after 3400 miles... guess what? This was also the first time I filled up at a 76 station and then an Arco station. I normally exclusively use Chevron and occasionally Shell. Never had chirps until switching. Now that I've put a tank of Chevron in my car the chirping has gone away completely again and the engine isn't dipping RPM at idle...
I guess the moral is use Chevron gas?
