Sorry OP for your troubles. Here's how anal the warranty people are.
My driver side visor broke. No problem .... I thought. I called the dealership expecting that this would be an easy fix. I was told that I would have to bring the car down so they could inspect the visor to determine if it was covered under the warranty. The SA looks at the visor and tells me that he would get back to me. They couldn't replace it that same day.
They call me a couple days later and said that it was covered. Another trip to the dealership to have it "installed" by the toyota certified mechanics.
All this effort and time for a plastic visor.
