I was like ok bro... You do you and defend your mustang purchase. Who cares if it's a sports car or not. The GT spanks tons of cars, and that's all that should matter. Just don't call it a sports car
So the twins are GT cars as well right? given that they have 4 seats... what's your definition? You have to make some half-ass definition of a sports car to include the twins and not a mustang.

He could say, 150 torque? pathetic. The new 5.0 and 5.2L engines are not to be scoffed at. They put out great numbers. 400 ft lb of torque is crazy specific torque. Would be like 160 out of a 2L. amazingly great numbers.

For me, it's disgust with posers who buy something they think is cool and then try to pretend it's something it isn't. There's nothing wrong with straight line power. That can be a lot of fun. There is something wrong with buying a straight line car and pretending its a sports car, or worse, trying to convince everyone else that it's a sports car.

There's also something wrong with acting like a douche in the car on public roads and smashing into other people who were minding their own business. Or rolling the car onto your own head. To be sure, there are some douchey people driving twins also, but not to the extent that you can set up on the side of the road and get video of three wrecks from drivers of the car acting like morons.
Why do people look down on the modern mustang and camaro so much? they are very capable cars. All iterations, from the turbo i4 to the v6 to obviously the v8 are much faster than the twins on the track, in both the straights AND the corners.

why are car enthusiasts so tribal? It's pathetic. Why can't you appreciate both cars? or all cars for that matter. Why does everyone these days want to feel like a special-snowflake of some in-group and to pretend they are special and better than everyone else.
