While alot of people are complaining that 200Hp is not enough, 200Hp is alot of power for the Scion car buyers who are usually young first time car buyers. 30 years ago V8s had less than 200HP. This is why there is traction control on cars now.

The guy said he was not racing doing 20-30 clicks, just probably want to hang the tail out a little. Could have ran over some oil in the center from the description of the accident that just happened suddenly. That is one reason you do not do stuff like that on the street, the surface is not consistant.
Could be the tires have no lateral control but just break away suddenly.
Would have been better to try the car out in an empty parking lot first to see how the tires break traction. Remember the stock tires are Touring tires not HP tires.
