Did anybody else have difficulty getting the shift control shaft thru the adapter? I saw that there is a tiny o-ring inside the adapter where the shaft connects. I had to use channel locks to get it all the way thru to get the retaining clip on. I don't think I could get it off if I ever had to uninstall it.
