Might have better luck posting in a regional thread, as the laws are different for every state. In Texas, if they have a running light that's on at night, and during the day you can see through them, cops won't stop you. Is it still illegal? Yes, any tinting of the lights is, but cops won't care unless you make them look like solid black plastic with no light coming out.
