Just got another set of RE-11A from Discount Tire. (Using pricematch from Costco prices with $70 off) I noticed that the reported mileage of the RE-71R are way too low for DD's. My set of RE-11 has over 25k miles and 2 track days.
I doubt I could do the same amount on the RE-71 tho. They are basically liek r-comps, and they wear out so fast... In fact, there are some reviews out there that show it to be better performing than some lower quality r-comps. They were generous with the 200TW rating and just slapped it on there for it to be legal in competitions.
I could get 30k miles out of the RE-11 if I wanted to, but my state inspection is due so I'm changing them now. T_T Getting a full set of tires every 15k miles does not sound too good for what I am using them for.
Just my humble honest opinion. Different tires for different applications.
