I got bumped into twice but luckily my license plate relocator took it like a champ and saved me bumper damage and repairs. Once was from someone backing up to get out of a parallel park and another by a blind grandpa at an intersection.
The 'U' part that connects to the rod and the backplate is bent awkwardly but I fixed it somewhat with a mallet. I added additional spacers to push the license plate further out to give me more of a buffer for future protection.
