Well, looking at those pumps price wise they run $800-$1000 (the current OEM one is in that range) I don't know if that's a value proposition to quiet the crickets down. You could attempt insulation the pump somehow with some sort of foam spray or something no one on the forum has attempted that. But also we know right now 2 things that lead to the chirp:
1) Ethanol- causing cavitation
2) Oil temps- because this pump runs off 3 camshaft lobs it is subjective to oil temperature, people found running an oil cooler stops the cricket sounds for a period of time. So if you could average temps below 205 F I guess it wouldn't appear as often.
But personally I don't think it's that big of a deal, someone like me wouldn't even worry about it and just chalk it up to a quirk if you can find a pump used on another subaru vehicle and whether or not it chirps and still is used for DI then you could probably get that if it bothers you so much.
