The problem is, SCION is allowing dealers to tag the cars "retail - sold" while at port, if they've had a deposit placed on them. They can remain on hold until AUGUST! They are waiting a long time for some buyers deals to close, financing to be obtained, etc. Cars marked as "retail - sold" should make there way to the dealer within a week, but if the dealer hasn't ordered them brought in (which costs money) they are just leaving their hold tag on them, waiting for the next deal.
I walked in on Monday, the 4th of June and had mine by Friday the 8th

I was getting so antsy, even in that short time, I called a few other dealers and gave them my name and number in case they had deals fall through (all cars of course already spoken for) Friday afternoon I got calls from two other dealerships that had cars for me because deals fell through.
In talking to those other dealers though, I was told that SCION will rush customer orders, at the request of a customer (rush it through port delivery i mean) but not at the request of a dealer. More than one dealer said.. call Scion, tell them you have your deposit down and are waiting, and you know your car is at port.
