This way, when the FT-1 comes to market, that sharp nose won't look completely foreign. I suspect the next redesign of the 86 will have an even sharper nose to fill in the gap between this refresh and the FT-1. It will look like a natural evolution of the style they already established.
Makes me wonder if the SF-R will receive the same nose treatment as well.
