Yep the WRX rods are different but by no means forged. You still have to notice that these smaller turbos spool well around the 2.5-3.5k range on our cars depending on the kits. The biggest differences that I noticed when trying some other people cars was partial throttle control, agressiveness of boost and full off throttle to on throttle spool. Thats where the Cast manifolds and W2A intercoolers make massive differences.
Forget trying to get torque like a FA20DIT though. As mentioned it will explode, you won't be able to drive it and internally they are modified for different uses.
