All reasonable points and I realize I'm in the minority on the Miata. I have driven them multiple times, and just can't bring myself to like them.
It's just, for me, they would have to change the car substantially before I would own one, although they are going in the right direction with the Targa (if it were manual). At least with the Targa it doesn't look like a cartoon bathtub on wheels.
Now, that said, I would (and it pains me to say this) take the Miata Targa over the S-FR.
