Quite possible you are right, but I have already moved to another question.
That is, why push-starting might increase the likelihood of a converter fire (external, internal, whatever). What is different about push starting compared to using the electric starter, that it may cause the converter to overheat.
The manual pretty clearly associates fire danger with push starts, they don't mention loss of control. They warn about loss of control in other scenarios.
