^ Interesting. There is no way that Toyota or Subaru would have been able to presciently anticipate the change in sales ratios that developed. The only reasonable conclusion is that they saw the trend start and then reacted accordingly. So the current production ratios were not in fact "contractually predetermined 6+ years ago".
