Well where are they selling all those FRSs these days then? Certainly not in North America as the sales data here makes clear. In December 2012 FRSs were outselling BRZs 3 to 1 in the US. By December 2015 this ratio has dropped to half that - 1.5 to 1. So there must be some flexibility in the production ratios - or else there are fleets of FRSs sitting in dealer lots with lots of money on the hood ATM. It doesn't seem reasonable to assume that the rest of the world has undergone a reverse sales ratio trend that is taking up the unneeded FRS production.
