You would need to spend a pile of time in a car with a mega exhaust to harm your hearing. I doubt the loudest exhaust out there gets even close to 90db in the car. That woofer in the trunk is probably a much greater risk but again you need to look at the time exposure. If road noise is causing a ringing in your ears you need to see a doctor since there is more likely a medical condition behind it.
