I was able to snag one of these for $250 when CNT racing was having a one day sale. If there's surface rust on the header a nice sand blast and ceramic coat will totally protect it.

The cheaper DIY method would probably just involve using a wire wheel drill attachment and a rust remover bath if it's that bad, then using DEI silicone spray then DEI titanium wrap, that would protect it in the long run.
