If you ever spent much time at Cayuga, you should know the car. Despite the blood and sweat that I poured into it, It was not my car, it belonged to a friend of mine. I have always considered myself too smart to actually own a race-car. Heroin is cheaper and easier to recover from.
I recall no end of days during grade 13 when Vince would be walking to school and I would be walking away from school towards his house to spend the day working on the car rather than going to class. Got to the point where if he saw me he just turned around.
Used to be a guy at the track we called Chicken Man, cause he had a rubber chicken hanging from the rear view mirror, ran a total beater that maybe went 15 seconds at the best. But damn if he did not have that stupid bracket racing thing nailed down.
