Is there really no option for roof rack without drilling into the roof?
That's really too bad, mine have come very handy over the couple of years I've owned them. Never had a problem with them other than getting tiny scratches on the paint where the pads landed (fixed with some clear bra). Yakima must have had a good reason to discontinue it, but I use it sparingly enough that I'm not too worried about it.

Looking at the baseline, it looks to have a similar mounting solution as the Q-towers, basically clips on the window frame. The clips/landing pads are usually universal fit, and fit most contoured surfaces on most cars. Whatever Yakima "recommends" are just ones they've verified to fit. I would try to find a yakima dealer (an REI, Racksolid or something) and see what they recommend and try out the fits. You might end up with a different brand that fits better than the current Yakima stuff. If so, go ahead and post so that folks have another option in the future.

I think a better option for you would be to go ahead with the Q-towers and just look around e-bay for the clips/landing pads (Q91-A I believe). Might not be authentic "Yakima" brand, but lots of folks break parts and replace them with these, plus, since there are already a few of us who own it, you know it fits.

Best of luck.
