Its not a huge amount, but if you do online quotes for the two cars with the same details, the BRZ will be cheaper.

For those with modded cars. I Just had a quote from Famous for $830 with a $650 excess, which for a modded car seems very reasonable. Market value only though so the policy would need fine tuning which may lead to a slightly higher or perhaps lower premium.
Certainly worth getting a quote off for anyone with a modded cars.
Pretty obvious the BRZ is better risk because
a] not as many were sold due to the purchasing process they were launched with. It actually put me off buying one. Less on road has to mean less chances of being in a collision or stolen.
b] More half witted idiot P platers buying Toyotas then wrapping them around poles while attempting drifting. Becoming a bigger problem with the number now being sold cheap second hand. Lots with green P plates on them. This is not a car for a P plater regardless of the low power output. An LSD in the hands of the inexperienced can get them in to a lot of trouble before they realise it.
