It's not the official Toyota warranty which is 3 years, it's an extension. Although the name is "Toyota warranty", this extra warranty is not manage by Toyota itself but by an insurance company. It's pretty common here in France. A lot of manufacturers propose an extra warranty (it can be 4 or 5 years) as an option you have to pay, but what most of people don't know is that it is managed by an other company, which usually don't care about customer satisfaction.
If for example you make your annual maintenance with two weeks delay, no more warranty ! If you don't replace the pollen filter and the manual says you have to do it every years, also, no more warranty ! Yes I know, it sucks.
Whatever happens, I'll let you know.
